Angela Evelyn Bassett was born in America. Her name has been praised by the media and for her television performances since the early 1980s. Her accolades include two Golden Globe Awards, sixteen NAACP Image Awards as well as nominations for Academy Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up at Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt and Uncle in New York New York. Bassett and her sister, aged five, old, moved out of New York and into St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the separated father. Bassett was inspired to become an actress after she saw the stage play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, starring James Earl Jones. When she graduated at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with an undergraduate degree of African American Studies, she went on to earn an MA (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, an actress who was also at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grades) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
